It has been about a month since my last post. Sorry I have been ghost everyone, but I've been quite busy with work, transitioning from an apartment to a house, and marriage life. But I just wanted to share my thoughts about things surrounding the need for justice for what happened to Michael Brown.
All of this racism and foolishness is crazy. But it's a sharp reminder that just because it is the year 2014, it does not mean that there won't be people out there who are still stuck on stupid. ... There needs to be justice for Michael Brown asap. He was unarmed and had no criminal background. According to some reports, Michael assaulted an officer and during a struggle, he reached for the officer's gun. ... What reason would Michael have had to desire to assault any officer in the first place? And why did the police have to shoot Michael Brown down like that? Brown was not a threat to anyone. This is absurd... They really need to change how the police approach various people and situations. No one is above the law, not even the police. It seems that "walking while black" is still a crime in America today... Again, there needs to be justice for Michael Brown asap. #JusticeForMichaelBrown
My prayers definitely go out for Michael Brown's family. I pray that the Lord would send His perfect peace and order to Ferguson, MO and that there would not be any more senseless violence or unlawful detainment of citizens who are simply expressing themselves peacefully according to their First Amendment rights. I pray for the healing and restoration for all family and friends connected to Michael Brown. Lord, have Your way in this time now!
