I kinda get upset when people feel like God is forcing Himself on people just because other people want to force Christian religion down their throats. People might force things on people, but God does not force Himself on people. He does, however, want us to CHOOSE Him for the sake of having an intimate relationship with us. Jesus stands at the doors of our hearts and knocks (Revelation 3:20). We are the ones that have to choose to let Him in or not.
Besides who wants a forced relationship anyway? If we wouldn't want a forced relationship, what makes us think our Creator God would want one if He created us with free will? A forced relationship is not natural, it is unhealthy, and it therefore does more harm than good. If some people don't choose to live for Christ, I believe He is heartbroken since He died for us on the Cross and finds no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11). But people are going to have to face the consequences of not receiving Christ (and not having their names written in the Book of Life) on the day of judgement (Revelation 20:12-15).
And just because you go to church on some Sundays, it doesn't mean you are saved. Church attendance saves no one. It simply offers a way to hear the preached Word, to fellowship with others, and to participate in some religious/worship practices. But only Christ can save your soul.
So... Will you choose a gracious and loving Savior today? You don't have to try to clean yourself up and be "perfect" to come to Him. We're unclean sinners, that's why we need Him. He washes us and cleans us up by His blood. As we abide in Him, He does the perfecting til we see Him face to face. Then when it's all said and done, the two great words I want to hear from the Lord are "Well done." .... How about you?
I just want to encourage and inspire as many people as I can for Jesus Christ.
