At different points in all of our lives, we come face to face with two things: fear and anxiety. How we choose to deal with them can make a big difference in our lives. We might struggle with fear when we come up against things we cannot control. Or we might fight it when trying not to worry about the welfare of our loved ones. We might even deal with it when standing against "haters." Whatever the case might be, Jesus Christ has the remedy for fear in His Word. Jesus had to tell His disciples on some occasions, "Fear not." 2 Timothy 1:7 states, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." We all can overcome fear and anxiety and walk in the victory that Christ provides! When we walk in victory over fear, we can do what God has called us to do, and we can be who He has called us to be.
Here's an excerpt from the Introductory chapter of the eBook:
""For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7).
"Put into a spiritual context, fear and anxiety are malevolent spirits that have no legal right to have any influence over the lives of those who have received Christ as Lord and Savior because Jesus has redeemed all those who accept Him as Savior and Lord from such things. Malevolence is the state of manifested harm or evil against someone or something. Fear is something we have allowed to wreak havoc in our lives for too long now. We can simply turn on our televisions and see that we are living in a day and time full of fear and chaos. We have war and terrorism going on. We see that patients of doctors, psychiatrists, and psychologists have issues that have roots based on some type of fear and anxiety.
"We also see that fear has played a part in most of the decisions involving governmental affairs, politics, and in dealing with the United States’ currently unstable economy as we deal with our debt crisis. Fear is in the air when people are frantically looking for jobs as they face the horrible possibility of not having ends met. ....
"What is my goal for this book? Well, I am glad you asked! My goal for this book is two-fold: (1) to help people understand what fear and anxiety are in both the natural and spiritual senses, and (2) to help them to see how Christ can fit in the scene if we simply let Him in and let Him have His perfect way (for He does not force Himself upon us as He is a gentleman, standing at the doors of our hearts, knocking). Christ is able to heal us of our emotional and spiritual issues. We really can have victory over fear and anxiety in our lives. We really can have peace and wholeness. We don’t have to let fear and anxiety ruin our opportunities, relationships with others, or anything else we care about.""
