Despite what's happening in Ferguson, the Lord is still greater. He is worthy of being exalted and praised. Many people might ask why should we trust a God who would "allow such things to happen"? But I always go back to Romans 8:28: "ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose." God can take what we think is the most horrible thing and use it to bring about the kind of good that will bring Him glory. It's not like God is surprised at what has transpired so far. He is not like us: He knows the end from the beginning. He inspired the Apostle Paul to write in 2 Timothy 3:1-7: "1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
"2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
"3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
"4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
"5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
"6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
"7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Yes, we are in "perilous times" and people are hurting, but God is bringing healing. People are anxious and fearful, but God is bringing peace. There might be chaos, but I believe God is bringing order in His good time. Be encouraged.
I just want to encourage and inspire as many people as I can for Jesus Christ.
