I'm so thankful that God's love, mercy, grace, and faithfulness endure to all generations.... they endure forever! No matter what your situations, circumstances, issues, etc. look like, know that God is for you. He is not against you. He wants the best for you not sometimes, not most times, but all the time. As for hard times, His Word does not promise the absence of them. But He promises to be with us every step of the way. Be encouraged today. No matter what you have had to face, are facing now, and will face in the future, remember that the God who created the universe by speaking everything in it into existence wants to speak to you. Won't you listen as the Holy Spirit woos you unto Himself? He loves you with an everlasting love. Nothing can touch that. God bless!
If everyone truly realized how much Jesus truly loves them, I believe so many hearts and minds would change! .... Salvation is a free gift to us, but it is not cheap. It cost God His only begotten Son, who laid down His life for us. No one took it (John 10:18).
And don't get it twisted, satan does not mind religion. That's why there's plenty of them. The enemy has too many people convinced that they can just do good things and be nice people and that will get them into whatever version of "heaven" or "paradise" they believe in. But what satan gets upset about is one's real relationship with and life-change in Christ Jesus. If your "Christianity" doesn't involve striving to follow after Christ, but instead you're just following a bunch of religious rules, are you really a Christian?
Now I'm not saying you have to be a perfect Christian, for there is no such thing. We all have flaws. But what I am saying is that we need to make sure we have invited Christ in so that He can work on our hearts as we grow more and more in Him after true conversion has taken place. Christ does the perfecting over time as we grow over time.
Everyone, I sincerely pray that you guys have a truly happy, safe, and blessed New Year's. Please, please, please be safe out there as you travel to and fro in the midst of your festivities. Please be careful about your various associations with people and about how you deal with different situations that might arise tonite.
Moreover, let's be thankful and grateful for how God has brought us through 2014. I pray 2015 is a fantastic year. Don't let anything negative that happened in 2014 hold you back from experiencing what God wants to do in you and through you. He wants to bring about positive change in your life and in the lives of those with whom He'd have you to interact. Don't get stuck, but get moving! We all have much work to do if we are to take our lives to the next levels.
Make 2015 epic! Stay encouraged! Much love guys!
Jesus came to live the life we could not live, to die the kind of death we should have died, to pay the debt we could not pay so we could have true life in and through Him.
God turned on the light so we don't have to live in darkness. Sometimes we think that by having more money, or by being with the right person, or by having the right job or position in life, that we can have our own light. But the flames of those things can go out and worse, they can burn us if things go awry. Only Jesus, the true Light, never goes out and He does not burn us. Everytime we try to create our own light, we put God-sized pressure on a man-made issue. God is not obligated to do anything for us. It is us who owes God the honor, the glory, and praise for what He has done, is doing now, and will do.
It says in Proverbs 16:7, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
The ones that were always giving you a hard time for no apparent reason but to spite you, will have to admit that because you have made up in your mind that you are going to live right for God because He truly is a “rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Heb. 11:6), that this God we serve is worth serving. He is worth chasing after. He is worth the suffering for a Kingom cause because our treasure is in the things of God. Oh, He is worth it! In fact, after a while, if your enemies come to their right senses, they will want to be like you. They will begin to realize that you, as a child of the living God, are so blessed because you have chosen to do the Lord’s will; no matter how messed up things have gotten in your life. You have chosen to stay with the Lord because you know that the God that you serve is able and is willing to bring you up to where you ought to be. Your enemies will not want to be your enemies anymore because they will want to be as blessed as you are! Be encouraged!
Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
You cannot really seek God's kingdom--that is, God's way of doing things--the way God would have you to until you are born again. Jesus let Nicodemus know in John 3:3 that we cannot even "see" the kingdom unless we have been born again. When someone is born on earth, they are born into a certain natural citizenship. If you're born in America for example, then you are considered an American. You have American citizenship. So what does it really mean to be born again? It means you are born again spiritually, and you're citizenship is of the Kingdom of God. He is your King and you are one His subjects. He is a loving King and always has your best interests at heart. He rules from within our hearts to work His Kingdom business in the earth. When we seek God's kingdom, what is so great is that we don't have to worry about the things we need. God supplies all our needs. The Gentiles eagerly seek after things, but when we seek God, we get all that God wants us to have. So we don't even have to stress! So not only do we gain new citizenship when we are born again, but we also gain a new nature that helps us to be Christ-like as the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth (John 16:13).
Don't identify yourself by your problems, issues, and past sins/mistakes. Identify yourself by what God calls you. If you are in Christ, He calls you the head and not the tail and you are above, not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13). God says you are part of that chosen generation, you are part of a royal priesthood, you are part of a holy nation, you are a peculiar person, so that you should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). You are blessed and not cursed! Know that you can approach God directly with freedom and confidence through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 3:12). Because you are in Christ, your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life! These are just some of the many things about which believers in Christ should remain excited. How awesome is that!
You don't achieve salvation, you simply receive it. You receive it when you believe in Christ and trust Him to be your Savior and Lord. (Eph. 2:8,9). No amount of our own "good works" alone can make us good enough to get to enjoy spending eternity with our Creator, for we are sinful. But when we are born again in Christ, God does not see our sin, but He sees His Son [our lives are hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3)]. Good deeds have their place, but they do not impress God. Our own righteousness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). We need to have the righteousness of Christ imputed unto us (Romans 4). When we have the righteousness of Christ imputed to us, we are then pleasing to God.
We might mess up at times and sin as we deal with our flesh, but we should not condemn ourselves nor beat ourselves down. Moreover, we should not condemn others if we witness them falling short of the glory of God. If we truly have been made into new creations by God, then we are Christ's and He is ours. Nothing can change that and nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:31-39).
Why is connection so important to your spiritual life? Because you can’t grow spiritually unless you’re connected relationally. God designed you that way. He wants to use other people to grow you, and he wants to use you to grow other people. Growth, accountability, belonging, and care happen in circles, not rows. Discover how building deep relationships with the people in your group and serving the larger community around you will grow your faith.
While we develop relationships with people, we have to make sure we are taking on the posture of a servant daily. Adopt the "it's not about me" mindset. It's a good feeling you get when you know you've done what you can to really help someone else. Let Christ work through you to make positive changes in your community, knowing that God has us at the right place at the right time.Jesus served all the way up to His death on the cross. In a sense, He served us into salvation. All this for what? "What does God want from me?" you might ask. God does not need anything from us, for He is God and is infinite. But God wants something great FOR you: a great love-based relationship with Him and others. No man is an island. We were not made to live all alone. We were made to live in community. We are to show people what it means to be God's Kingdom citizens.
I thought this post might encourage many people ... so here goes!
"... the [Master] Potter has never been intimidated by the lump of clay. He is completing you and will not relent until He finishes His masterpiece in the exact manner in which He saw it before He ever began. He cannot leave off from you until you are precisely as He determined you would be. His name is forever attached to you and His glory is tethered to you for eternity – He deemed it so. Therefore He cannot quit you, He cannot cease early, He cannot forget, He cannot grow weary of you, He cannot end in frustration, He cannot toss you aside…He loves what He is doing in you and for you and through you. Yes, God will complete you.
But not until the day of Jesus Christ. Believe this: want it as you may, strive toward it as you do, hunger for it as you will… you will not be completed until the return of God’s Son. So you must choose between two things: despair or rest. I have sadly mastered the first at times and must work diligently at the second. We are to rest in the lavish grace of God afforded to us in Jesus Christ, the very One who will bring our completion to pass when our eyes behold Him (1 John 3:2)."

Be encouraged in Christ and God bless!
I just want to encourage and inspire as many people as I can for Jesus Christ.
