We need to stand still, and just watch God work in our lives. Often times, we miss what the Lord does for us because we are always moving; we are always on the run. We want God to fix problems for us, and when we feel He is not coming when we want Him to, we start messing with things to try and fix problems ourselves. Then the original problems we had turn into even larger problems because we did not wait on the Lord. The Lord may not come when we want Him too, but keep in mind that He is always on time. We get impatient too quickly. We need to just be still and see what God is doing for us in our lives.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
When we calm down and are still, we can look at what God has done for us and really appreciate it. Then we can truly glorify His name and give Him honor, glory, and praise.
God cares about everything we pray about because He truly cares about us. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” There are times when we want an answer from God about a particular situation or circumstance, and it seems like God is not listening. Rest assured that God not only hears your prayers, but He also has an answer for each of your prayers. The real question is, Can you accept the answer God gives you, even if it is "No" or "Wait"?
Sometimes, if we are not careful we can be tempted to give up on praying to God. One of the reasons we feel our prayers are not being answered, is because we stop praying. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says it best, "pray without ceasing." Paul is more direct in Philippians 4:6, “In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
In reality, we should not be worried so much about if God hears our prayers – He does and He does care. Instead, we should be focused on not giving in to the temptation to give up on prayer because of hard times and trials. In Luke 18:1, Jesus, “spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart." Prayer does not make you more spiritual, but it is essential if you are to enjoy great fellowship and communion with God.
I just want to encourage and inspire as many people as I can for Jesus Christ.
